Position Summary:

Rollins seeks a highly collaborative, experienced Registrar to provide vision and leadership in the areas of student records, scheduling, enrollment data, planning, and related analytics across three schools; in addition to full-time programs for undergraduates in the College of Liberal Arts, Rollins maintains undergraduate and graduate degree programs for working adults through its evening program at the Hamilton Holt School and graduate business degree programs through its Crummer Graduate School of Business. Reporting to the Provost and working closely with the Vice President for Enrollment and the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Registrar will guide strengthening of relevant policies, procedures, and practices to ensure they are effective, compliant, and modern.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Maintains all student records with accuracy, security, and compliance in accordance with AACRAO standards, while delivering on Rollins' promise of service excellence to students, faculty, alumni, and staff.
  • Serves as a strategic partner in improving enrollment, advising, and instruction.
  • Analyzes course taking patterns to ensure optimal use of classrooms and available teaching slots, as well as supporting multi-year planning for course offerings.
  • Anticipates and frames questions and analyses, analyzes data in collaboration with Institutional Research, and recommends approaches for optimizing scheduling, enrollment, and space utilization.
  • Regularly assesses and recommends improvements for technology to assure data integrity, improve operations, and enhance the student experience.
  • Educates staff and faculty about the use and sharing of student information, informed by federal and state laws and regulations, including FERPA.
  • Meets regularly with the Provost’s leadership team to proactively support academic initiatives across Rollins.
  • Participates in the work of the Rollins Retention Team, co-led by the Provost, the Vice President for Student Affairs, and the Vice President for Enrollment to support the success of all students both through strategic use of data and improved policies and procedures related to enrollment and student records.
  • Supervises and supports the professional development of the staff in the Office of the Registrar and ensure smooth and efficient operation of the office.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, with preference for an advanced degree, and progressive senior level experience related to the work of a registrar over a minimum of 5 years.
  • Rollins seeks a strategic thinker, interested in advancing the student experience with forward looking models for providing learning experiences.
  • Successful candidates will be oriented towards service excellence, organized, and enthusiastic, with strong analytical and communications skills and evidence of creative problem solving abilities.
  • Strong relational skills with a diverse student body, faculty, staff, and parents.
  • Strong data analysis skills including work with Banner or a related system and the ability to search databases and generate relevant data reports.
  • Enthusiasm for participating in an integrated, multidimensional, data-driven, institution-wide improvement effort.

 

Work Environment:

  • Office environment with frequent interruptions.
