Position Summary:

The Marketing & Communications Editor is the primary content creator for the Crummer Graduate School of Business. Reporting to the Executive Director of Marketing & Communications, this individual produces, publishes, and promotes articles, profiles, newsletters, videos, publications, and social media content to support the School’s mission. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Marketing & Communications Editor will engage faculty, students, alumni, donors, staff, and other constituents to comprehensively tell Crummer’s stories through a variety of integrated marketing channels. 

The mission of the Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business is to develop global business leaders and innovators through a high-quality, integrated, experiential education that prepares them to add significant value to their organizations and communities. Crummer has a dedicated, service-oriented staff who assist and complement the faculty in delivering an outstanding educational experience. Our passionate alumni are leaders in a wide variety of organizations and regularly serve as guest speakers and connect with our students outside the classroom.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Write articles, profiles, and press releases to promote the Rollins Crummer brand.
  • Write and produce monthly Rollins Crummer newsletter.
  • Write and produce quarterly research newsletter.
  • Create content for and manage production of annual alumni magazine.
  • Create content for, manage, and measure Crummer’s social media channel outreach (particularly Facebook and LinkedIn).
  • Manage school’s photo assets and manage photography vendors.
  • Oversee video production efforts, working with vendors, as well as producing video content in house.
  • Create and manage content for the website in coordination with marketing office colleagues.

Education and Required Experience:

  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Journalism or Marketing or a related field (master’s preferred); minimum of 7 years’ experience in marketing and communications or related field.
  • Demonstrated writing experience and proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Detailed-oriented with effective planning and project management skills to manage projects from conception to publishing.
  • The ability to work efficiently and accurately. Deadline-oriented.
  • Ability to flourish in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Driven with ability to independently source and pursue stories. 
    Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to positively interact with individuals on all levels to achieve common goals (faculty, staff, vendors, students and alumni).
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
    Ability to contribute ideas to improving internal processes.
    Experience utilizing email vendor technologies.
  • Computer and technology literacy to include industry standard software and tools.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends. 
  • Must be able to travel locally, domestically, and internationally if needed.
  • Must exercise sound judgment and decision-making by ensuring interpretation and communication of policies and procedures are consistent and accurate.
  • Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license, accessible transportation and a good driving record to attend work-related events.
