The Department of Psychology at Rollins College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychology position beginning August 2026. We are seeking an industrial and organizational psychologist with a Ph.D. expected by August 2026 to join our collaborative, engaged, and inclusive faculty. The successful candidate will teach 6 courses per academic year: approximately 4 Psychology courses in our evening program in the Hamilton Holt School, and 2 courses in the College of Liberal Arts (CLA). In addition to industrial and organizational psychology courses, teaching responsibilities may include statistics and research methods, introductory psychology, and a course in our Perspectives in Psychology series. The successful candidate will develop courses in their area of specialization and maintain an active research program. The Rollins Psychology department’s laboratory facilities include two human behavior suites, a rat and mouse animal colony, and the Child Development & Student Research Center (Hume House), a laboratory preschool.

Minimum Qualifications and Education:
|
- Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology (or expected by August, 2026).
- Preference to candidates with Ph.D. in hand at the time of application.
- Undergraduate teaching experience in at least a Teaching Assistant capacity with potential to excel in the classroom.
- Preference to candidates with prior teaching experience as instructor of record.
- Demonstrates a research program focused on human participants and organizational settings that does not require specialized laboratory facilities.
- Preference to candidates with a history of publication in peer-reviewed journals and a completed dissertation.
- Demonstrates an understanding that a liberal arts education includes a student-centered undergraduate experience.
- Demonstrates ability to effectively educate and mentor a diverse student population. Articulates the ability to create welcoming and supportive learning and working environments that benefit all members of our college community.
