The Rollins Museum of Art is seeking a temporary Visitor Services Associate to help maintain the overall operation of the front desk for the Spring semester.

Work Schedule:

The Visitor Services Associate role is a temporary appointment, scheduled to work 21 hours per week, less than a 1,000 hours a year. The schedule for this position is:

  • Tuesdays: 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.
  • Wednesdays: Noon - 4 p.m.
  • Thursdays & Fridays: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Saturdays & Sundays: Noon -5 p.m. (as needed)

Estimated Dates of Assignment: March 2022 - June 2022 

Hourly Pay Rate:

The hourly pay rate is $15.00 and there are no benefits associated with these positions.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Member and Guest Relations Coordinator, the Visitor Services Associate II helps to maintain the overall operation of the front desk and works to ensure a quality experience for all museum visitors and callers. A thorough knowledge of the museum’s exhibitions, programs, policies, and events is required.

  • Greeting visitors at reception desk.
  • Answering the phone and directing calls.
  • Announcing guests to staff.
  • Tracking attendance.
  • Operating cash register and assisting customers with museum store purchases.
  • Promoting membership to visitors.
  • Stocking and display of brochures and collateral materials.
  • Proofreading the CFAM website.
  • Assisting with education and membership department initiatives as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years of customer service-related experience
  • Strong service orientation
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to project and maintain consistent professional appearance and behavior
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with students, faculty, staff, members, and the general public
