Rollins College

Named a “Great College to Work For” by the Chronicle of Higher Education for 14 consecutive years, Rollins is a top-tier private liberal arts institution. Founded in 1885, Rollins was the first recognized college in Florida and is a significant force in the Central Florida community. Rollins has been listed for seven consecutive years on the Chronicle of Higher Education’s list of “Great Colleges to Work For” and was named the #1 “Most Beautiful Campus” in the nation by Princeton Review in 2016. The Crummer School is fully accredited by AACSB for MBA and EDBA and Rollins is fully accredited by SACS. Winter Park is a beautiful community nestled within the dynamic Orlando metro area in Central Florida, a region that has recently been ranked #1 in the U.S. for job growth. Cost of living is very reasonable and opportunities for year-round entertainment and outdoor activities are second to none. Beyond the obvious theme park and hospitality focus, the region also has a burgeoning high tech sector including a substantial focus on simulation, and also is a leading market in health care innovation. The Orlando area is a great community for families to put down roots.

Crummer Graduate School of Business:

The Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida offers a unique opportunity to qualified applicants in marketing with a connection to entrepreneurship and a passion for outstanding graduate teaching. Because we are a graduate-only business school, preference will be given to candidates that have experience and a strong desire to teach MBA students in our full time, evening, and executive MBA programs. We also have a high-quality Executive DBA program; the successful candidate must be willing to actively engage in teaching, mentoring, and serving on EDBA dissertation committees.

Crummer is a small, mission-centric business school. The mission of the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins is to develop global business leaders and innovators through a high-quality, integrated, experiential education that prepares graduates to add significant value to their organizations and communities. The Crummer School only hires experienced faculty with established teaching and research records; our current faculty includes many award-winning graduate teachers. We especially value individuals who also bring managerial industry experience as part of their background. Crummer does not have departments; we operate as a faculty of the whole. This model lends itself exceptionally well to a level of nimbleness in innovation that is rarely seen in academe, and also to a cross-disciplinary approach in the classroom and in research collaboration. Class sizes are small and faculty build close professional relationships with our students.

Crummer’s Center for Advanced Entrepreneurship (CFAE) bridges educational endeavors with the Central Florida entrepreneurial community. Distinguishing aspects of the graduate entrepreneurship program at Crummer include interactions with students, faculty, and industry as well as social entrepreneurs through CFAE innovative initiatives including the Crummer Venture Plan Competition, Entrepreneurial Scholar of Distinction, ATHENAPowerlink, CEONexus, Growth Series, and the Integrated Capstone Experience (ICE) (i.e., commercializing NASA technology as well as domestic and international consulting). Click here for more information on Crummer’s industry-driven curricular and co-curricular entrepreneurial programming.

Crummer faculty members take great pride in the fact that we are ranked #1 in Florida by Forbes. Also, for four years in a row, Leadership Magazine has ranked our MBA #1 in the country for Leadership Development. Other accolades include being named the #1 Global MBA in Florida by Expansion, a Tier 1 Global MBA by CEO Magazine, and a “Best Business School” by Princeton Review. We attract excellent MBA students at all levels – executive, professional, and early career. Our students are eager to learn from our accomplished faculty and the prestige factor of holding a Crummer MBA is extraordinarily high, especially in Florida. Hence, outstanding MBA teaching is essential to success as a member of our faculty.

Crummer’s Executive DBA program was recently ranked #6 in the country and #13 globally by CEOWorld. Our DBA students are top-level leaders and seasoned entrepreneurs who take a variety of seminars in residence and complete a dissertation and other research requirements as part of a three-year program, affording outstanding opportunities for faculty to participate in these projects. At the Crummer School, all learning experiences are heavily applied and experiential.

The Crummer faculty recognize that a broad range of applied research contributes to marketing practice. Cross-disciplinary collaboration is common within our faculty and also with colleagues outside of Crummer. An engaged scholarship model that combines managerial relevance with rigor in applied research is highly valued among our group.

You will find collegiality to be one of the best parts of being a faculty member at Crummer; collaborative service to the college is part of our strong culture of self-governance.
