Job Summary:
|
The Accessibility Services Testing Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Accessibility Services to perform administrative duties and work with students, faculty, Accessibility Services and Information Technology to proctor testing and support other functions of the Accessibility Services office as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day functions of accommodated testing services including overseeing, implementing, and coordinating exam times, spaces and technology.
- Work with students and faculty to provide responsive, respectful, and collaborative testing support services.
- Maintain testing accommodations that ensure test credibility and privacy.
- Proctor tests, scribe and act as reader as needed.
- Manage the alternative format textbook accommodation.
- Communicate with faculty members regarding testing and support needs.
- Answer the department phone line and department email.
- Supervise the staff of student workers.

Minimum Qualifications & Education:
|
- High school education plus one year of additional education, which may be obtained in college or in technical or business school.
- Two years of related experience.
|
Preferred Qualifications:
|
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University.
- Experience working with students with disabilities in a higher education setting.
|
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
|
- Highly level of organizational, problem solving and time-management skills required.
- Ability to calmly perform in a high-stress environment.
- Knowledge of the needs of higher education students with disabilities.
- Ability to foster working relationships with both on and off campus parties.
- Ability to respectfully communicate, collaborate and relate to students with disabilities.
- Knowledge of distraction-reduced testing protocols.
- Knowledge of alternative text formats and the steps needed to deliver them to eligible students.
- Knowledge and experience in training student populations.
- Knowledge of Assistive Technology implementation and best practices.
- Willingness to undergo regular training in new Assistive Technology devices, practices and protocols.
- Some technical knowledge is needed for troubleshooting underperforming hardware and software.

Work Schedule:
|
The Coordinator role is a part-time 10-month appointment (August-May), scheduled to work 40 hours per week. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm. Schedule will fluctuate based on department need and overtime/weekends may be required as needed.
|
Work Environment:
|
- Campus-based, front-facing customer service position, working in an office environment.
- Work requires visual strain and use of computer.
|
