Job Summary:
|
Reporting to the Director of Management and Executive Education (M&EE), the Assistant Director is a collaborative leader who oversees the development and implementation of complex educational programs created for our global clients. As the demand for continuous learning and upskilling in the professional marketplace rapidly grows, you’ll work alongside the M&EE team and faculty from the Crummer Graduate School of Business to create impact for organizations and individuals across all industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Management and Retention: Assists in all aspects of program sales and new business development, including:
- Partner with the Director of M&EE and Director of Strategic Partnerships on calls with prospective clients to move relationships forward
- Conducts needs assessments with potential clients
- Recommend program offerings and create custom proposals that are in alignment with department strategic and revenue goals
- Act as program manager or key partner relationship manager on assigned programs (See Program Execution Oversight section)
- Solicits additional business from current clients
- Program Execution Oversight: Performs a range of activities as program manager for selected M&EE programs including:
- Schedules program dates and faculty availability
- Manages client relationships before, during, and after programs
- Monitors program enrollment
- Ensures completion of faculty appointment letters
- Work with staff and Center Operations team to review (and manage) program logistics, materials, catering, and audio-visual/technology needs
- Provide facilitation and/or monitoring of select programs and events
- Collect and report on program participant feedback (e.g., facility, faculty, content, delivery, technology, etc.)
- Facilitate post-program feedback review session with client
- Marketing and Public Relations: In partnership with our marketing team, develops, implements, and assesses marketing and public relations strategies and plans for M&EE programs to meet attendance goals—adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes:
- Stays up to date with relevant marketplace and industry news to help identify trends and potential business opportunities
- Assists with website and marketing content creation and maintenance activities
- Help maintain social media accounts for M&EE
- Updates and maintains client and prospect database

Minimum Qualifications & Education:
|
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education
- Three years of job-related experience, including program development and/or project management
|
Preferred Qualifications:
|
- Experience in instructional design
- Membership in training or organizational development-related professional organization (e.g., ATD, SHRM, GoodNetwork)
|
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
|
- Familiarity with experiential learning and emerging trends in learning and development
- Knowledge of marketing methods and principles
- Knowledge of the sales process
- Knowledge of training theory including needs assessment, instructional design, and training methodologies
- Uses high-quality, professional oral and written skills to initiate routine correspondence and to maintain and update files, logs, and reports
- Interpersonal and communication skills – ability to facilitate training/meetings
- Knowledge and practice of effective customer service skills, both virtually and in-person
- Proficiency with PC and related software
- Knowledge and practice of organizational and time management skills

Work Environment:
|
- Campus-based, front-facing customer service position, working in an office environment
- Regular use of a computer and databases
- Must be able to work flexible hours which include evenings and weekends
|
