Position Summary:

The Department of Education at Rollins College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Education to serve for a 1-year term, from August 2025 until May 2026. The colleague who is hired for this position will teach foundations courses in diversity in education, curriculum development, and educational assessments, and must have related qualifications. They will also supervise students' field experiences. The teaching load will be eight courses for the year, which is four courses per semester. There will be no requirement of scholarly production.

We look for someone who has experience working in diverse educational environments because we have a program for paraprofessionals who work in low-income schools, and we have a commitment to serve marginalized communities. Applicants who have taught at the college level and who have supervised interns and student teachers are preferred.

Minimum Qualifications and Education:
|
- Doctorate in an education field.
- Commitment to undergraduate teaching excellence and to our liberal arts mission.
- At least 3 years of successful teaching experience in public elementary schools.
- Prior teaching experience at the college level and who have supervised interns and student teachers preferred.
