Job Summary:

The Associate Director of Alumni Communication and Engagement for the Crummer Graduate School of Business will play a pivotal role in fostering strong relationships between Crummer and its alumni community. Working closely with the Executive Director of Alumni Engagement, this position is responsible for developing and executing strategic communication plans, organizing alumni events, and enhancing engagement initiatives in the form of alumni volunteerism to support the Crummer school's mission and goals. While this position’s main focus is on the Crummer Alumni community, this position is also a part of the overall Rollins Alumni Engagement team and will be expected to work closely and collaborate with the team in a “One Rollins” mindset, where projects between other alumni groups often overlap.
Key Responsibilities
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with alumni, encouraging their active participation in school activities and initiatives.
- Volunteer Coordination: Function as the main point of contact for communication with alumni who are interested in volunteer opportunities across Crummer. Work closely with the Student Success and Admission teams, and other offices to identify alumni volunteer opportunities such as mentorship, class and/or workshop speakers, and internship offerings for various programs. Collaborate closely with student organizations and associations that seek to include alumni and/or special guests to serve as speakers, panelists, etc. to stay connected to and involved in these organizations’ initiatives. Effectively market these initiatives outwardly to alumni and coordinate alumni interests when there are appropriate matches to both alumni and internal stakeholders.
- Communication Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to effectively engage alumni through various channels, including email, social media, LinkedIn strategy, newsletters, and the alumni website.
- Alumni Board Communications: Assist in board communications and administrative duties such as planning quarterly on-campus meetings, attending all committee meetings, and maintaining board records working with the Crummer Alumni Graduate Assistant.
- Content Creation: Work with the Crummer marketing team and the Executive Director to create compelling content for alumni communications, including event promotions, volunteer opportunities, alumni benefits, and updates on school initiatives. Identifying and compiling an ongoing list of exceptional alumni for profiles, articles, and testimonials for inclusion in marketing campaigns.
- Event Planning: Plan, coordinate, and execute alumni events, including planning quarterly board meetings, contributing to the annual Alumni Weekend reunion, individual networking events such as Crummer Connect, facilitate webinars, and assist in alumni city club activities.
- Data Management: Using the College’s CRM, maintain accurate and up-to-date records of alumni contact information and engagement activities in the alumni database.
- Metrics and Reporting: Track and analyze engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of communication and engagement strategies.
- Project Prioritization & Strategy: Effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other Crummer departments, including marketing, admission, and student success, to ensure cohesive and aligned communication efforts.

Minimum Qualifications & Education:
|
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or transferable work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field, including alumni relations, communications, or event planning.

Preferred Qualifications:
|
- Work experience in higher education or nonprofit organizations.
- Experience using the SLATE CRM.
|
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
|
- Ability to prioritize between multiple initiatives and openly communicate these priorities to colleagues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including email marketing software, and customer/client relationship management systems.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse groups of alumni.

Work Environment:
|
- Campus-based, front-facing customer service position, working in an office environment.
- Regular use of a computer and databases.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, which include evenings and weekends, based on business needs.
