Are you ready to make a visual impact? Rollins College is hiring a content creator with experience in both photography and video production. The Assistant Director of Photo and Video will be responsible for bringing the Rollins brand to life visually through still photography and video.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality photography and video content that supports Rollins’ marketing priorities, including enrollment, advancement, and brand storytelling.
- Help shape and maintain the College’s visual brand by creating compelling content that engages prospective students, families, alumni, and donors.
- Collaborate with creative, editorial, and digital teams to plan, shoot, and edit photo and video projects, ensuring alignment with brand and campaign goals.
- Manage post-production workflows and maintain a well-organized digital asset library for long-term use.
- Support video production efforts and assist in managing freelance talent and production resources.
- Maintain and recommend updates to photography and video equipment, staying current with industry trends and technologies.
- Build strong campus partnerships and uphold high creative standards across all visual content.

Minimum Qualifications & Education:
|
- Bachelor’s degree in photography, video production, film, journalism, fine arts, marketing, communications, or related field - or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three years of professional photo and video experience.
- Experience creating high-quality content in an array of settings and circumstances, from controlling every detail in the studio to navigating the challenges of event and travel photography.
- Experience with a range of types of photography, from portraits and landscapes to documentary and event photography.
- Experience managing photo shoot logistics as well as identifying and directing on-camera talent.
- Possess a valid driver’s license, or ability to obtain a Florida driver's license within 30 days of accepting the job, and acceptable motor vehicle record.

Preferred Qualifications:
|
- Experience with aerial (drone) photography.
- Licensed FAA part 107 drone pilot.
|
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
|
- Advanced technical knowledge of cameras and related equipment.
- Mastery of lighting techniques for a range of environments.
- Able to use studio lighting, strobes, diffusion, and grip equipment.
- Able to work with organized talent, manufacturing environments that represent the College’s culture and environment.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud editing applications, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Lightroom
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Experience with project management tools and techniques.

Work Environment:
|
- Campus-based, customer service role in an office environment, offering some opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.
- Regular use of a computer and databases.
- Flexible scheduling and must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends for events throughout the year.
