Job
Summary:

Reporting to AVP, Human Resources, the HRIS Analyst provides analytical, technical and training support in the day-to-day use, development, integration and optimization of the Ellucian Banner HR module and ancillary cloud-based HR applications. Builds project plans, ensures adherence to project schedules, maintains systems orientation and can work effectively with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning. Develops data queries, reports and dashboards to support HR operations, campus stakeholders and external constituencies. Helps bridge the gap between HR operations and system functionality, leveraging strong technical aptitude and deep understanding of HR business processes to deliver efficient, user-friendly solutions that drive data integrity, compliance, and excellence. The selected candidate will play a critical project role in the migration of on-prem ERP and HR information systems to cloud and SaaS solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a technical point-of-contact for all HR systems and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. Supports HR systems upgrades, file feeds, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.

  • Provides a range of technical and analytical support in the maintenance, configuration, integration and optimization of Rollins’ HR information systems and applications.

  • Collaborates with HR team on changing business needs and identifies and implements strategies for streamlining system operations and processes to address changing needs. Supports the AVP, Human Resources and other HR and Payroll Directors in generating and disseminating reports to support business decision making and reporting requirements, including the ability to convert HR data into high-quality and easily interpretable visualizations for various stakeholders.

  • Anticipates, identifies, designs, implements, and tests automated processes that contribute to informed decision making; provides expertise to end users through reports, statistical summaries, queries, spreadsheets, and lists.

  • Recommends process and customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy, which must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.

  • Knowledge of project management practices with the ability to prioritize projects and competing deadlines. Direct and leads projects associated with functional HR systems and applications. Uses data to build project plans and ensure adherence to schedule and other specifications. Takes action that is consistent with available facts, constraints and probable consequences.

  • Collaborates with external system vendors, functional consultants, enterprise solution providers, internal and external user groups, work teams, and IT staff to improve business processes; develop training efforts and user guides to ensure effective and efficient use of HR systems and applications. Develop and maintain systems integrations including applications, services, APIs, file transfers and queries.

  • Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Trains internal stakeholders on new processes/functionality. Trains new system users.

  • Maintains and safeguards confidential information, exercising discretion in all conversations, transactions, and activities to ensure the integrity and security of sensitive, confidential information and HR data.

  • Responds to information requests from various departments on campus; and monitors changes to ensure compliance with federal, state or College requirements.

  • Represents HR team on college committees where subject matter expertise and knowledge of business operations is a value add.

  • Maintains awareness of current trends in HR technologies with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examine trends in information systems training, materials and techniques.
Minimum 
Qualifications & Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university preferred; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated work experience as an HRIS Consultant or similar role.
  • Demonstrated work experience with human resources and payroll systems, LMS, performance management, benefits, applicant tracking and payroll systems.
  • Demonstrated work experience with project management tools and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher education HR work experience or similar industry experience.
  • Demonstrated work experience with Ellucian Banner, PageUp, Vector Solutions, bswift or TimeClock Plus.
  • Demonstrated work experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Human Resource Information Professional (HRIP) or similar HR credential.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) or similar project management credential.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and data management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with to ability to analyze, summarize, and present complex data to a variety of various constituencies in accessible terms, both verbal and in writing.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and pivot among shifting/competing priorities.
  • Well-organized and self-directed individual who exhibits a high level of integrity that inspires trust and confidence.
  • Ability to foster open transparent communications and proactively build positive relationships with faculty, staff, students, and diverse constituencies.
  • An innovative, exciting, and forward-looking approach to HR technologies with a deep understanding of best practices and strategies to help optimize HR operations.

Work Environment:

  • Campus based position in Winter Park, FL with the ability for flexible hybrid scheduling. 
  • May require traveling for offsite meetings.
  • Highly collaborative team that works in a shared office environment.
