Position Summary:

The Department of Business and the Hamilton Holt School of Professional Advancement and Graduate Studies at Rollins College is seeking applicants for a lecturer position in the Master of Human Resources program beginning in August 2026.

The position includes teaching primarily graduate required Master of Human Resources courses, as well as undergraduate classes in human resources or related fields in the Department of Business. The ability to teach elective courses at the graduate and undergraduate level is highly desirable. Active research productivity is expected.

Other responsibilities of the positions include advising, program development, curriculum development, assurance of learning/demonstration of learning (AOL/DOL) activities, and, perhaps, general education. The willingness to teach blended and/or evening courses is also expected. Occasionally supporting evening and weekend program events is also expected.

The minimum requirement is a doctorate in business or a closely affiliated discipline, preferably from an AACSB accredited institution – ABDs will be considered. Practical experience and some college-level teaching is highly desirable. Candidates must have the ability to develop and deliver curriculum; meet the demands of the position in a timely manner; and assess student learning outcomes. In addition, candidates should have strong oral and written communication and strong interpersonal skills. Preference will be given to applicants with professional and/or teaching experience in Compensation and Benefits and/or Human Resources Data Analytics, Business Statistics, and/or Human Resources Artificial Intelligence (HR AI).

AACSB International accredits the undergraduate business programs at Rollins College. The Department of Business offers undergraduate majors in Business Management and International Business. Additionally, the Department of Business offers a Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) aligned Master of Human Resources degree through the Hamilton Holt School of Professional Advancement and Graduate Studies.

The normal teaching load will be the equivalent of eight courses a year, typically four courses per semester. Rollins College is committed to liberal education and expects all faculty to contribute to a liberal learning environment. Summer teaching may be available through the evening program.

Minimum Qualifications and Education: 

  • Doctoral degree in business or related business area (ABDs will be considered).
  • Demonstrated ability to teach at the graduate level.
  • Ability to teach required and elective classes in human resources and business, employing in-person and hybrid modalities, and for the day and evening programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD from accredited AACSB University.
  • Professional and/or teaching experience in Compensation and Benefits and/or Human Resources Data Analytics, Business Statistics, and/or Human Resources Artificial Intelligence (HR AI).
  • Experience teaching at undergraduate college level.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce academic scholarship.
  • Practical business experience.
