Position Summary:

The Testing Coordinator reports directly to the Assistant Director and Director of Accessibility Services in order to perform the administrative work in maintaining the Accessibility Service’s Testing accommodations. This includes working with students, faculty, Accessibility Services and Information Technology to administer testing to students with disabilities.

Anticipated Start Date: August 2020

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day functions of accommodated testing services including overseeing, implementing, and coordinating exam times, spaces and technology.
  • Work with students and faculty to provide responsive, respectful, and collaborative testing support services.
  • Maintain testing accommodations that ensure test credibility and privacy.
  • Report to and collaborate with Assistant Director as needed on difficulty testing situations.
  • Coordinates assistive technology for students during testing.
  • Proctor tests, scribe and act as reader as needed.
  • Performs related duties as required/needed.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field is required.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities in a higher education setting is desired.
  • Knowledge of the needs of higher education students with disabilities.
  • Ability to foster working relationships with both on and off campus parties.
  • Ability to respectfully communicate, collaborate and relate to students with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of alternative text formats and the steps needed to deliver them to eligible students.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Universal Design model.
  • Knowledge and experience in training student populations.
  • Some technical knowledge is needed for troubleshooting underperforming hardware and software.
    Knowledge of distraction-free testing protocols.
  • Willingness to undergo regular training in new Assistive Technology devices,
  • practices and protocols.

The pay rate is $15.00 per hour. 

This is a part-time position working less than 1,000 hours/year. This position will work approximately 30 hours per week.
