  • Counsel students and families regarding their account:
    • Respond to inquiries (email, phone, and in-person) and proactively provide outreach.
    • Develop relationships across campus to better connect students and provide options/solutions to balances in order to help students retain and graduate.
  • Daily maintenance of student accounts receivable through reports and queries:
    • Post payments and adjustments to accounts.
    • Actively review and manage monthly past-due balance reports.
    • Identify, flag, and correct errors in database.
    • Provide high-level oversight and management of current balances for specified population.
      • Includes running reports and “courtesy” communications (email, mail, and phone) to manage balances.
    • Audit and update of holds on delinquent accounts.
  • Administration of monthly payment plan:
    • Assist students and families with completing a budget for a monthly payment plan.
    • Coordinate all plan adjustments between student and plan provider.
    • Enroll students in alternative payment plans to maintain current account standing.
    • Manage delinquent payment plan accounts through coordination with provider and through data retrieval within system.
    • Assist with monthly reconciliation of payment plan system to the College’s ERP.
  • Process weekly student refund checks and ACHs.
  • Billing and reconciliation of Florida Prepaid:
    • Advise and council students and families on Florida Prepaid benefits and how they function at Rollins.
    • Manage and reconcile roster of students receiving Florida Prepaid benefits in the College’s ERP.
    • Bill Florida Prepaid each semester and apply payments to student accounts.
  • Process third-party contracts to student accounts; maintain and reconcile contract accounts in the College’s ERP.
  • Generate electronic monthly bills for student accounts.
  • Assist the Communication Coordinator to design, develop and market innovative customer service and training material including web strategy and communication plans.
  • Assist with supervision of work-study students, allocating work dependent upon daily priorities.
  • Assist with daily close process.
Minimum Qualifications
& Education:
  • High school education plus one year of additional business, technical or college training or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Requires two to three years of job-related experience.
  • Strong customer service experience and ability to handle difficult financial conversations.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) with a focus on service, grammar, and accuracy.
  • Must be comfortable managing conflict and make independent decisions within office policies and guidelines.
  • Strong technical skills for pulling information, query writing and updating of data within various software systems (Banner, QuikPAY, Florida Prepaid, Access, Argos, TMS etc.)
  • Flexibility to move between systems to gain information and solve problems.
  • Strong decision-making skills, especially during times of high emotion or conflict.
  • Ability to handle high phone and email volume.
  • Ability to diffuse conflict and communicate effectively in tense situations.
  • Ability to self-manage daily workflow and priorities.
  • Knowledge of office methods and procedures and familiarity with the use of standard office equipment, accounting machines and familiarity with mainframe and computer software programs.
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to financial records.
  • Ability to perform work involving written numerical data and to make arithmetic calculations rapidly and accurately.
  • Ability to perform duties in a tactful manner while responding to customer inquiries.
  • Ability to perform intermittent minor tasks without loss of continuity in major assignments and adhere to the principals to time management.
  • Knowledge/ability in the area of interpersonal relationships.


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.

Work Schedule/

This is a full-time position, scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours a day. The schedule for this role is Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. (Overtime and weekends may be required as needed.)

  • Campus-based, front-facing customer service position, working in an office environment.
  • Work requires visual strain and use of computer.

Student Account Services provides student monthly online billing statements; financial & monthly payment plan counseling, receives payments for tuition, fees and miscellaneous campus charges; provides collection of delinquent accounts; delivers refunds and financial aid residuals after disbursement. We also provide deposit and merchant services for departments of Rollins College.
