Job Summary:

The Office of Institutional Analytics at Rollins College is seeking an Institutional Research Data Coordinator to join their team! This position provides administrative and technical support to the Sr. Director of Institutional Analytics in developing and maintaining a comprehensive institutional research program for the institution by collaborating with other units of the college and by extrapolating, collecting, and verifying the data for government agency reporting and external survey reporting. Provides administrative and technical support to the institutional Data Governance Committee, SACSCOC Accreditation activities, Program Assessments, and maintenance of the Inst. Research Website.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development, execution, and completion of various institutional research projects, encompassing design, implementation, analysis, visualization, and report preparation.
  • Contribute to research activities, data compilation, and response composition for college, state, and federal reporting, as well as for publishers and rating systems such as Princeton Review and US News, in collaboration with other departments.
  • Coordinate and ensure the timely and accurate completion of essential institutional research projects, including the dissemination of information to federal and state agencies (e.g., IPEDS, FETPIP, National Student Clearinghouse) and participation in institutional surveys like CIRP, NSSE, COACHE, First Destination Survey, among others.
  • Work with the Chief Data Officer to develop and maintain a data governance calendar, data governance documents (like meeting minutes), and maintain the institutional business glossary.
  • Build and execute comprehensive test cases to ensure that data in the data warehouse has integrity and is reliable, accurate, and consistent with the Rollins’ data framework.
  • Collaborate with the Asst. Provost for Institutional Effectiveness to extract data and generate reports to support institution-level strategic planning, college assessment of student learning, accreditation self-studies, and institutional effectiveness. Provide support to program directors and deans for discipline-specific external accreditation self-study reports.
  • Help administer internal surveys using tools like Qualtrics in collaboration with Sr. Director of Institutional Analytics and Asst. Provost of Institutional Effectiveness
  • Coordinate external survey administration for primary stakeholders from publishers like HERI, NSSE, Great Colleges to Work For, Gallup, etc.

Minimum 
Qualifications and Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • A minimum of one year experience in a related field.
  • Experience with any Student Information System like Ellucian Banner.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Experience using survey tools such as Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, Google Forms, etc. 

Preferred 
Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience working in higher education administration.
  • Experience working at an Institutional Research office.
  • Experience using data querying tools such as SQL, STATA, SPSS, SAS, Alteryx, etc., and reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information in accordance with state, federal, and institutional guidelines.
  • Willingness and ability to expand technical skills.
  • Knowledge and practice of multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and to collaborate with others in a team-driven environment.

Work Environment:

 

  • Campus-based position with the ability for flexible hybrid scheduling.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and visual strain working on a computer.
